Kellen Winslow traded...Who could be next?

I was surprised by the trade of Kellen to Tampa because it seemed his work ethic would fit in with Eric Mangini. At the end of the day it came down to contract and injury history which Browns could not live with. The Cleveland Browns have two other playmakers that could find themselves on new teams Derek Anderson and Braylon Edwards. I don't have any inside info but I think the Browns will pay Derek his bonus on 3/15 in order to increase his trade value. The reason I think Braylon might get moved is he wasn't a happy camper last year and I can't image he is happy with the K2 move. On the other hand he could be happy because now he is the only playmaker on the offense. Only time will tell what the Browns will do but I do know that they can lose without these players.

The Browns are getting ready for the Business Season

The Cleveland Browns have made a few moves to get ready for free agency and draft. They have released Ken Dorsey, Terry Cousin, Bruce Gradkowski, Antwan Peek, Mike Dragosavich, Jason Reda, and Eric Young. The Browns were already under the cap by a little over 10 million so this should position them well for the business season.

At this point its hard to tell if the new team of Mangini and Kokins will be aggressive like Phil Savage or take a wait and see approach to player acquisition. We should start to find out on February 27th when free agency starts. Oh yeah their is the whole what is going to happen to Derek Anderson thing flapping in the wind. Looks like we will have to wait for the answer to that question until his roster bonus is due in March.

The Arizona Cardinals win if...

they give Kurt Warner three seconds to throw on a regualar basis and don't turn the ball over. The offensive line for the Cardinals need to block the A gap pressure from the Steelers. The Steelers have watched the game tape on Kurt Warner and they know he has the most trouble passing when he gets pressure from the defense up the middle. I also look for the Cardinal defense to get some forced fumbles and put their offense on a short field.

Go Cardinals!!!
