The first day of Cleveland Browns training camp was low key. The team practiced for about an hour, then signed autographs for the fans. The crowd at training camp was large and loud welcoming the team back onto the practice field.
The most interesting news was regarding players not on the field. Phil Savage said that Ryan Tucker and Joe Jurevicius will start training camp on the active/pup list. This means they don't count against the 80 man roster limit, the Browns will have to decide by the first roster cut down to active Jurevicius or Tucker or put one or both them on reserve/pup which which means not being able to play until week 6.
The other player not available was Donte Stallworth due to a hamstring injury. He was at practice, but did not participate in drills. Romeo Crennel said that he should be out for a couple of days. Donte injured the hamstring last week getting ready for training camp.
I won't be able to personally go to practice until Sunday, so look for updates on the playbook and get ready for another radio show on Monday 7/28 that will recap the first week of Cleveland Browns training camp.
