Welcome to the 2008 Business Season

Free agency is just a few hours away and after listening to the Phil Savage's press conference, the Browns are ready.

He talked about the team being prepared for life with and without Derek Anderson, free agency, and the draft. He feels that if Derek is going to test the market, he has a team ready to make him an offer. Savage feels comfortable that Brady Quinn can be productive, because of players like Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow.

The obvious focus of the 2008 business season for the Browns will be the front seven on defense. Savage said the team has list a players they would like to get, but aren't sure if they will be available come midnight. The Browns should be an attractive place for free agents, because of the record in 2007.

Savage also said the team will be aggressive, but don't expect them to sign players at 3AM like in years past. You could see them sign players tomorrow night or over the weekend. The players should start visiting Berea tomorrow.
